Hi Anand, I am very sorry about your brother's cancer. I am a little familiar with MM because the father of my ex wife had it. He survived for 6 years before finally dying. Since we did not live near him, I know very little about his chemotherapy. I do know that they used radiation to treat localized tumors that were causing him pain or were putting him in danger of having a bone break.

I wish there was a way to predict how long your brother has left. Just based on the experience of my 65 year old ex-FIL, if your bother gets aggressive treatment, he could live several years. I would talk to his own medical team about this concern.

You and your brother are in my thoughts and prayers.

I agree with "Brainman." All may not be lost! Read, ask questions, get second/third opinion. Don't give up! Pat

Pat, I am primarily writing this reply to let you know that I deleted your links from your profile. Please read http://cancerforums.net/viewtopic.php?t=12696 . Your links do not qualify for the exception because they were not of a personal nature i.e. about your own struggle with cancer.

I am also posting to point out that this thread is almost one year old Laughing. It is OK to revive an old topic just that the originator of it only posted once and did not reply to my comment so I would not hold my breath Wink
