My moms gone.
Cancer won but I'm positive.
During the battle, time stood still
Now that it's over
... it flew

We all sat with her
. talked with her
.. laughed with her
Individually
.. made our peace with her
after 25 years
.. dad spoke with her

We all prayed for her
. had services for her
.. a few of us cremated her
I picked up her ashes
.. and went for a ride with her

We all remember her
. we cleared her apartment for her
.. we all have memories of her
at the beach
. I remember her

I look at her
. hold back the tears for her
.. for a time alone to think of her
When I think of her
.. only good memories flood of her

I hurt for her
. feel a great loss from her
.. but I got my strength from her
for my sisters
.. I'm there for her

I miss my mom
