Just an update. I had my wide ex-cision and sentinal LNB done last tuesday. Surgery was 2 1/2 hrs. They did end up removing 5 lymph nodes in right armpit. Does anyone know if that is standard? I have read that during surgery, they test the sentinal lymph node first for traces of cancer, then removes others closest to site. Is that right? I wish I asked more questions. A plastic surgeon performed my surgery. He just told us he removed 5 lymph nodes because that is where the tumor drained into. I just want knowledge for preperation. I did get drainage tube out and feel much better. Thanks for all your help and information on this subject. Will get results later this week. Thanks again!

stacieklaus, I am happy that your surgery went well. Yes, removing 5 nodes sounds normal to me. I hope all are clear of cancer. Keep us updated.
