My friends, again, this is one of the hardest post for me to write. I just received an email from Steve, Angie's husband, telling me that the day we so much dreaded finally arrived. Mark, after weeks of declining health died on the evening of Sep 23 local time.
I don't know how much more I can write... it is hard for me to see what I am typing. _________________ Jim

I've been thinking for days of what I could possibly say - but can't think of anything aside from that I am SO sorry to hear of Mark's passing.
My heart goes out to you and your family.
May you have the strength you need for the day, every day.

Hi Angie, I've sat here and stared at this computer with numbness. I can't believe how bad I feel for you so I can't even imagine how terrible this is for you and your family. My love, thoughts, prayers and support are with you all. I think and remember Mark through your words of a fun loving, thoughtfull, cheeky a great sense of humour, but most of all great courage and tremendous love he had for his family. This disease is so unfair. May you have the strength and love and support to get you all through this terrible time. Love and hugs heading your way from up north. _________________ Love to all. Jen.

Hello all
Mark passed away on the evening of Tuesday 23rd Sept, 2008. He tried to hang on but eventually succumbed under the cloud of morphine! He was still recognising voices on the afternoon of his death although what he was saying was making little sense. He was able to say "gidday mate" when his best mate came to visit that afternoon.
We felt a sense of relief after Mark's passing as he was finally at peace & he looked so beautiful when we saw him that night. My Mum & his Wife were with him when he died. How appropriate was that!
Mark's funeral service was on Mon 29 Sept. It was a huge crowd & a wonderful tribute to his beautiful life. His fave songs were played - Counting Crows-"Round Here", Coldplay-"Till Kingdom Come" & the final song was performed by a workmate on his acoustic guitar, "Better Man" by Pearl Jam.
I'm back in Bris now getting back into a familiar routine with family, work, etc.
I hope I am able to continue to contribute on this forum in a positive way, in time. Feeling a little fragile at the mo!
Thanks for all your prayers & support, it's been a great comfort to me & my family.
Cheers, Angie. _________________ Brother diagnosed with GBMIV Feb 07

Angie, the world is a little emptier, a little lonelier, and a lot sadder now that Mark has died. I am so sorry for you and his family.
