Does it make sense to ONLY eat food made from raw stock in order to give yourself the longest possible chance of survival?

By this I mean avoiding canned foods, foods with preservatives/additives in general (such as sweets, biscuits, cereals (like rice bubbles, wheeties))?

I am thinking as far as it's possible, cooking from raw ingrediants would be the safest would it not?

1 it should help with your overall health, but more so to help your immune system during Chemotherapy.

I also have figured vitamins C and E are good for your immune system.
Garlic, citrus etc..

Not so much a question I know, but I just need some opinion... pros/cons.

Hi - as a general rule, avoiding processed foods is advisable for anyone. Organic canned and frozen foods should have the same standards as raw organics.

Some foodstuffs are actually more beneficial when cooked, such as tomatoes.

I do allow myself to have organic and home-cooked ham, bacon and sausages, and occasionally salami or other preserved meats, but occasional is the important word.

In our family, we cut out as much artificial flavors, colors and preservatives as we possibly can. we have found it to have improved our over all health by having fewer colds and viruses. That was also very helpful while Ben is in treatment, there are fewer things (that shouldn't be in food in the first place) to present themselves to altered taste issues. I whole heartedly advocate a diet low in processed foods, and avoiding all additives and chemicals- dyes, artificial flavorings. We were able to help our son avoid ritalin therapy when he was young, and the public school advised they thought he had ADHD. Food additive sensitivities are probably responsible for more health/behaviorial issues than we will ever know.
Rolling Eyes can you tell this is a near and dear subject for me? Sorry for going on....
