I just want to post something encouraging regarding this horrible cancer. My husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in May 2007. He underwent months of diagnostic testing even having his gall bladder removed. He was seen by his PCP, gastroenterologist and surgeon. When he was diangosed last year his tumor was unresectable. He enrolled in a clinical trial including chemotherapy and radiation. He experienced the typical side effects, nausea, fatigue and some weight loss (primarily from the radiation therapy). He completed the trial in August 2007. He was diagnosed with a C-spine metastasis in Feb 2008. He again underwent radiation therapy to the C-spine. He has been on chemotherapy since April of this year. We know he now has some lung metastasis, but his bone scan this week shows no evidence of metastatic disease. He continues to fish, hunt and golf. He still experiences some fatigue, but for the most part is enjoying life. We cherish every day we have together. We continue to pray for miracles, and feel we have been blessed with one so far. We realize he has a deadly disease but today he is living with pancreatic cancer instead of dying from it. I am so thankful he is still healthy enough to do all the things he enjoys. I hope this encourages someone else diagnosed with this disease. I know when he was diagnosed I searched everywhere in hopes of finding some encouraging words. Smile

warrensarge, thank you for telling us the story about your husband's fight with Pancreatic Cancer. So true, we can either keep of living or keep on dying. Hope he continues to do well.
