No, it hasn't...it's still HIFU
Guess your motto is ~ If you can't slam the information, then slam the source. |

Nope, the thread was off topic. Brachytherapy and AARP.
I'm not slamming any source. Did I criticize your use of AARP? No. Fine by me. Everyone knows what AARP is and is not.
When Putt wrote:
"I must have been sleeping when it was announced that AARP was the new official journal of medicine. How silly of me to think otherwise. I thought they just sold car insurance......"
that has nothing to do with HIFU and is off topic, IMHO. It has now become a discussion about the validity of a source.
When channelsurferdude wrote about protons, photons, and AARP, it had nothing to do with HIFU. Off topic.
It all started with JohnT's comments about brachy, which you responded to.
Where did the thread go off topic?
Does everyone see the difficulty in what you are asking me to do?
At this point, I don't really care. Have fun! I resign. _________________ Replicant

I was addressing the slamming to Putt....not Replicant....
lihhnl Quote "total gland ablation and impotence should occur".... unquote
I had total gland ablation, and no impotence is here.!!! I was thinking it must mean the shell of the gland...?
Hey Replicant....sometimes it's okay to go off topic, if it doesn't hurt the topic....no resigning allowed.
But, Putt's remark can be erased...as it didn't add to the discussion, as you said, "Everyone knows what AARP is and is not. " |

| Here is my 2 cents...notme referenced the AARP and radiation...not me. I was just following up the discussion with information in a venue he opened up. I think it is all related to the HIFU discussion, especially when there is a comparison of HIFU to other modalities. |

That matches my description of how conversations naturally flow on web discussion boards, hence my question to all of you.
By voting, the members have shown that they want the moderator, whoever he/she shall be, to step in at some point to redirect off topic threads with a message. Or at least they want SOMEONE to say things are off the original topic.
I don't really see the point.
This message, by the way, is off topic. _________________ Replicant

I agree with you...I don't see the point...but thanks for being the moderator. I think I'll stay low for awhile...getting ready for my treatment to start soon. |
