Rose was a mother, a grandmother, my wife, and most importantly my very best friend. Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000, she chose to fight against her attacker and returned to work just 2 weeks after her bi-lateral mastectomy. She continued to work throughout her ensuing chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Such was the spirit of my partner. She showed us "how it's done" for 8 long years. With typical grace she refused to let those closest to her know the true extent of her disease because she didn't want to cause anyone anxiety or pain. At the end of her fight, her concern was for those she would leave behind and not for herself. While the pain in my heart is almost unbearable, she showed all who knew her how to carry on. She will be sorely missed by her many friends and family members. I am proud to have had the priviledge of knowing her and being able to call her my wife and best friend, "my Rosie". She is gone, but will remain in my heart forever.

Doug,
I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my husband to colon cancer on Dec. 5, 2004. I still miss him. I lost my Dad to pancreatic cancer on March 30, 2008. I have lost all the men in my life except for my son.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Just know that your sweet wife is not suffering any longer. Lean on the Lord and your family. The pain never goes away but it does get better.

Hey doug,

So sorry to hear about your wife. We are so happy that you have all those fond memories of her to remember her by. Cancer is terrible period, but we hope, me and my wife can bring you some comfort from the scriptures as it has us.

God promises that very soon in Revelation 21:3,4 'death will be no more' No more sickness no more dying, I think everyone is looking for that. And to see our dead loved ones again, John 5:28,29 says 'all those in the memorial tombs will come out'. Another wonderful scripture. We hope these helped, once again truly sorry for the loss.
