I love the dillweeds who use handicapped placards that are not theirs. Like a guy who took a spot, jumps out and runs to the elevator. Um, in MOST states there is a requirement that you must be limited to walking a certain number of feet and needing to rest. I cannot believe someone is qualified when they can RUN the equivalent of a city block (or more) and not be winded or limping. Jerks. And they see me, wheelchair in back seat, trying to find a spot that gives us space to get the chair out. MAN! But life sure is sweet when a cop witnesses what I just described and writes the bonehead a $500 ticket. YAY!

Dillweeds! LOL I call them jerkwads. Laughing We used to call these people "mentally handicapped." You'd think the hospitals would have more handicapped parking than they do too! Maneuvering those wheelchairs in tight spots is a thrill a minute too. Sorry Hulamom!

Yeah, we either NEED a handicapped spot or an end spot so we can get the stupid wheelchair out without damaging the new car (hubby totaled our car out last week and you KNOW I won't be allowing scratches on the new one!). Yet the same jerkwads that illegally use the spots are the SAME ones that watch you struggling to take wheelchair and oxygen out of the car. Jerks. I report them to security at hospitals and malls but the only time they do anything is when someone uses a photocopied placard (so easy to tell those). They claim they can't do anything to others. Don't know about your state but the 3 I am familiar with have ID cards that the placard holder is supposed to have with them. So basically, if you are suspected of not needing it, you show the card to the cop and he allows you to park. But they never enforce it. In THIS state, it is impossible to get a placard if you can run full speed a whole block!

Here's another pet peeve. Letting someone borrow an expensive hard cover book and instead of using a bookmark, they bust up the spine of the book and return it with pages coming out! You KNOW that's only gonna happen once and then no more borrowing!

This one has bugged me a couple of times lately.

Waiting in line at the drive thru for about 10 minutes because you're craving a frozen coke, only to get to the window and have the girl say, "Sorry but the machine isn't working right." Grrrrrrrr! You couldn't tell me that when I placed the order 10 minutes ago????

Sorry -- I'm a transplanted northerner who grew up on Slurpees, who now lives in the south where 7-11s don't exist. Sad

(((Java)))) My condolences. No slurpees? I love traveling in the south and asking for orange pop and the people look at you like you are from Mars. I was offered orange juice until I remembered to say "soda." Then they understood. LOL

Can we add to the list -- items listed on drive-up menus that the restaurant no longer carries? That's always fun. I could write a million pet peeves about fast food operations, but then it would look like I utilize them a lot. Embarassed

For some reason, little things bug me.

Like when my boyfriend doesn't put the toothpaste cap back on the toothpaste or somehow how he always manages to put all of his dirty clothes everywhere except for the hamper. Even right next to the hamper!

Oh and when people ask me "Where are you from?" when they really should ask "What's your ethnicity?". Irritates me every time.

First, I'd like to mention that reading these posts almost had me spilling my tea all over my keyboard I was laughing so hard.

#1: People who take what should be 5 separate sentences and merge it into one big run on.

#2: People who write whole paragraphs in only upper or lower case letters.

#3: Gum on the sidewalk, especially on a warm day. Always disgusting.

#4: I have to agree with HuluMom: people who borrow your books and return them in horrible shape. My all time favorite was the friend who dropped my book in the bathtub. Wrong, very wrong.

ACKLES SAID: #1: People who take what should be 5 separate sentences and merge it into one big run on.

Uh-oh. Embarassed Guilty as charged. I liken my writing style to that of St. Paul, who never met a comma or a semi-colon that he didn't like, to toss into his run-ons. Hahahahaha. Wink

I think people who don't make any paragraph breaks are the worst. My eyes glaze over when I see HUGE paragraphs. <sigh> Maybe it's my eyes as I get older. Rolling Eyes

Ah, two new ones:

#5: People who use the word "eatable" instead of "edible".

#6: People who sneeze and don't bother covering their mouth/nose. Especially when they're standing behind you.

pbj11, don't worry, comma's and semi-colons are perfectly acceptable! I also find myself using them excessively. As for people who don't break up their paragraphs I agree wholeheartedly. It definitely kills the eyes, no matter what age we are Very Happy .
