I have been reading so many of your post over the last two weeks. I have been very impressed with everyones stories and responses. So here I am, I am in despereate need just to vent.
My mom age 59 had breast cancer three years ago. She started having a pain in her side last year. In October of 08 they did a PET Scan and saw a spot on her lung that they said was scar tissue from the radiation from the breast cancer. But they found colon cancer(stage 4). Mom just finished her chemo for the colon cancer the end of Feb. They did another PET scan three weeks ago and that spot that they said was scar tissue has grown-- Her tumor is about 1/2 inch. She has non small cell lung cancer. Her Oncologist told my mom that she wasnt sure mom could handle the surgery for the tumor. Because of her being so run down from the chemo for the colon cancer the oncologist said that the surgury would be to hard on mom. And Mom says she wont do surgery anyway.. They are also not going to be testing her lyphnodes because she isnt going to have surgury. Im not sure what stage mom is in. I do know that she will have to do Radiation and chemo again.
My mom is my hero. She has gone through so much already. I am very scared that this time the cancer will win.
Thank you for letting me vent. |

Hello Briley;
Your mom is young yet and I hope she has a chance to bounce back and fight the cancer. My prayers are with you and your mom.
God Bless

Oh I am so sorry Briley. Sounds like your mother has been run through the ringer. Hopefully when she recovers her strength she'll get the surgery, if it's still an option. Sending positive thoughts your way!
