Greetings.
MD anderson seems not to touch any gleason score above a 7. While i have read and talked to patients who went to florida and loma linda with scores in the high range. Has anyone found this to pay the case. Also anyone know anything about Wayne state univeristies neutron beam therapy..?
thanks

Hi,

I'm very sorry cancer has come into your life. One of our best friends had aggressive prostate cancer and sought the opinions and surgery at Mayo after a lot of research for a good place. He then did radiation locally. You may want to consider having your records sent up there for an opinion.

Best of luck,
PBJ

I've come across other postings from patients who say the same thing--MD Anderson and Mass. General won't do protons on Gleason 8 or above, but Loma Linda and Florida will.

There's a guy who posts here sometimes and on other boards--neutronbob, I think? He's the only person I've come across who had neutron treatment. Google "neutronbob prostate" and you'll find some of his postings.
