What pathogenic microbiological strains are apt to effectively eliminate non-pigmented nodular skin melanoma and its spreads at regional lymph nodes? (References are welcome.) The state of immune system and antibodies traffic are quite normal. The size of primary tumour is about 1.0x0.8 inch, 0.4 inch over skin, located 1.2 inch dorsolaterally against an ear bottom edge, lymph nodes are up to 1.2 inch size. Standard therapy (surgery, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy) is not set though good health because of last 50 years stable EKG and heart sounds "pathology" (the sequence of cured rheumatic myocarditis): «a hospice treatment if necessary» is suggested.

Hi anb. I do not think we have a member who is a pathologist. Nevertheless, one of our members might know the answer to your question.

  1. Have you tried contacting the pathology lab are your own hospital? This would be my top suggestion.
  2. Have you tried Google?
  3. Have you tried going to the Medical Library of your local hospital?
  4. Have you tried Yahoo!Answers? Have you tried any other forum? This would be my last option because of the potential for bad information.

I hope you find the answer. I am also sorry that you need to ask because, although you did not say, it probably means that you have or think you have a melanoma.

Thanks. I've found something at last, but it's too late - she died 2009/08/19...
Anyway I wonder: Why cancer is that popular now? Maybe some of germs that were humbly eating it are just slain or caged today?
"Virus therapy or virotherapy of cancer is an old theme. Almost every virus has been injected into humans in an attempt to treat cancer since early clinical observations of spontaneous cures after viral infections" (Alemany R. Cancer selective adenoviruses. Molecular Aspects of Medicine 2007; 28: 42–58 ).
Look at S pyrogenes action: "the tumour so extensively involved the deeper tissues of the neck that no attempt was made to remove it. A few days after the first attack of erysipelas had subsided, a second attack followed, lasting for a week. During these attacks of erysipelas, the tumour of the neck entirely disappeared and the patient left the hospital in good health. After great effort I finally succeeded in tracking the after history of this patient and found him alive and well, 7 years later" (Coley WB. Late results of the treatment of inoperable sarcoma by the mixed toxins of erysipelas and Bacillus prodigiosus. Am J Med Sci 1906; 131: 375–430).
