Hi to all...
I've got a little problem now. I've been diagnosed with very aggressive AML about a year ago. went through BMT, and now it's 7th month after transplant. For about two weeks, I'm experiencing low grade temperature spikes. It goes up to 37.3 sometimes, and sometimes stays at 36.5C
When it all started, I felt tired and exausted, but no other signs. They have done cultures at the hospital, and it didn't show any ifection. But my white blood cell counts have gone up. My normal level of neutrophils was always arround 3, now it's gone up to 7.5. I still have hickman line installed. So few days ago, I decided to take things in my hands and do private blood film analysis. So went to MEDICHECKS and they have done a blood tests, including film to take look at the cells morphology. So good news was that all white cells were normal - not blasts. very disturbing news though - the ESR marker is moderate high (inflammation marker) - 74. I'm terribly anxious patient, so now going out of my mind because I've read on the internet that elevated ESR may mean blood cancer - if there are no other symptoms. I've got appointment on friday, but it's such a long time...
Did anybody have similar symptoms?
