Hi All,
Mom had a CT scan this morning... We got the results this afternoon. Two rounds of Alimta did not work for her. Sad Her original lung tumor grew by 5 mm and the lymph nodes near her aortic arch grew another 1 cm. Now we are going to try Tarceva. Onc wants her to do it for two months and then do scans after that. We are waiting to make sure that the insurance will cover Tarceva. If not, our cancer center will help us pursue other avenues in order to get Tarceva paid for.

I would like to hear about others' experiences with Tarceva.

Kristi wishing her mom's cancer was not sooo stubborn!!!!

Hi Kristi,

I'm also wishing that the darn Alimta woulda done the trick. I don't know anything about the Tarceva, but I'm sure those that do will chime in soon.

But I am sending unending prayers up for you and your mom, and even the insurance company Evil or Very Mad , so the Tarceva will work miracles, and the next scan will give us the results that we're looking for!!!!
