I'm so scared! What was your first signs of the ovarian?

Hello,

I'm 23 years old and since the mid-July odd things are happening to me. From time to time I'm handling constipation period (which it's the first time that I'm experiencing these kind of thing so often), I have frequent urination and I'm feeling full quickly. My stomach feel always full (like if I ate 5 plates in a buffet). I have a lot of flatulence too.
I went to see a physician and just told me to take some peptobissmol.

But it was 3 weeks ago and this situation didn't fix.

I told him that I was affraid that it could be Ovarian Cancer because I was aware of some of the symptoms, but he didn't seem to pick attention to my worries. He said "Oh! That's impossible, you're too young for that". But I read that a lot of young people can have it too! Even if it's rarer. So it's cannot be impossible.

I never took the pills so it's increasing my change to have it...(as I read) so it don't assure me at all.

To assure me, he gave me an appointment for a pelvic echography at the hospital, but I'm on a waiting list since my case was not considered as an "emergency". So I will not have my appointment before 2 or 3 months....

What do you think? Should I be more persisstant and return to see my doctor or, I could annoy him?

How did you discover that you had ovarian cancer? Do you feel these symptoms at first too?

Yes, be persistent! It is your body and your peace of mind that matters. I was not a stastical concern for my doctor either due to my age. My doctor was wrong and she felt awful after the fact. If you have concerns you need to be persistent in ruling out the symptoms.

Do not wait on ovarian cancer; there is no second chance at early diagnosis. Who cares if you annoy your doctor? Be an aggressive advocate for your own health. Who cares if your doctor is sorry in 3 months when you are stage III with less than a 20% chance of survival. Annoy the crap out of him/her and do it now.

This exactly. Go to a gynecologist with your concerns, get an exam and see if s/he wants you tested further. If so, push to get seen right away.
