Hello, I am new here.
Please forgive me for my english is not so good.

My husband was diagnosed one month ago, either Pancreatic cancer stage 4 or esophogus cancer stage 4... they don't know which one is primary cancer, but they are leaning toward to pancreatic cancer.

my husband started radiation treatment last monday.
plan is to do radiation mon-fri 2weeks.
then to chemo.

Ever since radiation therapy, he is getting weaker, don't wake up , stay sleep, more pain.

When I first found out about his cancer, I thought that I want to see him playing golf again... now I want to see him at least talk and laough with me.
Do I ever get to see him having good time and laugh again?
He is right there front of me sleeping...
I miss him so much.

I am going to see if I can admit him to hospital today.
He sleep all day and don't eat food or drink.. I don't want him kill himself not eating.

Hi,

I'm very sorry about your husband's diagnosis. I truly understand what you are saying. A smile or a little glint in my husband's eyes made me know that he was coming out of the effects of treatment for that cycle or from radiation.

He's exhausted and will become more so with the radiation. Please have hope that he too will get stronger as they kill off some of the cancer and he gets rid of the side-effects.

It's very tough being a spouse, very lonely and frightening too.

He does need to stay hydrated and eat. Try seeing if he'll take some Ensure, Boost, or Carnation instant breakfast a couple of times a day to keep his strength and weight up a bit.

God bless and know there are others who have walked this path who understand.

Hugs,
PBJ

I just got back from hospital.
I admited him to hospital today.
Shortly after he got solution going into his vein, he started to lighten up.
I left him at hospital room feeling a lot better.

Thanks pbj11. actually i did had time to peek your reply right before I left house today. I was reliefed to know that my husband was not the only one who responded to radiation like that.
Having your reply in my mind sure did make different .

Thank you so much.
