Can anyone tell me if the risk is the same of lung cancer with cigarettes versus cigards ? My dad is a big cigar guy, and I need some more info to persuade him to quit !

Hi

I would say that the risk is still very high, though I don't have exact numbers.. Even if you're not inhaling, you're still being exposed to a lot of carcinogens, and therefore I'd consider his risk of cancer to be the same as any other smoker.

Cigars and cigaretts are tobacco. Doesn't matter how its rolled. Just remind your dad, if he gets lung cancer he WILL quit, one way or the other.
