I really want to c a gyn/oncologist in the NYC area. But it is so hard to find a physician who actually cares abt something besides sending you on ur merry way. Any ideas on how I can find a good doc.??? I tried searching on google, that really hasn't helped.

What about asking your regular OB/GYN for some references.

We had a great oncologist and the tipper was that he was the guy that all the docs and nurses at the hospital saw themselves or used for family members. I think that's a pretty good endorsement.

Try calling the local cancer society too. They may have a list.
