Hello Everyone,

I'm going out of my mind with worry right now. For the past week, I've been experiencing mild pelvic and back pain. I've also had no appetite with lots of burping. Two days ago, I started spotting (I'm 49 and had my period three weeks ago). I never get cramps or spot between periods. What really is worrying me is that I don't want to eat anything (I get headaches if I just miss a meal). I'm going to the doctor tomorrow, as offices were closed for the weekend. I know that these are ovarian cancer symptoms, and I'm so worried. I just need someone to talk to.

First of all, take a deep breath.

There is no need for you to be worrying this much. It is always good to be aware of the changes that are going on in your body, but every change doesn't mean cancer. These symptoms can be caused by a number of different things. Not just ovarian cancer.

Now, if you have a history of ovarian (or any other cancer) in your family, I can see you being more wary, but again, there are other reasons as to why you are having these symptoms.

I would recommend that you still go to your doctor obviously to find out the cause of symptoms, but I won't jump to a cancer diagnosis right away.

I hope the results turned out good and it's merely minor unrelated things (such as a sore back and a bit of indigestion).
