It has been awhile since I have written on this site. But I did want to let you all know how much I appreciated your advise and the sharing of your stories. I stayed with my mom night and day since her diagnosis June 14,2009. She went thru 3 chemo treatments without any improvement. The drs gave her 3-6 months to live, although I never told her that. Up until the very end she had hope. The last 2 weeks were the worst with Hospice coming onboard and the powerful meds. It was so heartbreaking to watch her go thru the pain and the behaviors that came with the meds. The drs were right on the timeline she lived 3 months from date of diag. nsclc stage 4.My heart goes out to all of you experiencing this. Please let me know if I can be of help to answer any questions you might have regarding our experiences. GOD is GOOD.......Carolyn

I'm so very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Please accept my sincere condolences. May God give you peace and some restful times. There are so many lessons that I've come away with, that I try to find the silver lining in an otherwise awful situation.
