Dear All, this is my second posting on this website, and you've all been so kind with your replies, I am new to this, with my dad being diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus/liver 3 months ago.

I have something new to ask, my dad,whose on chemo now, and kind of ok on it, has developed pain when he eats, this is a new symptom, and he has a hospital appointment in two weeks, I'm scared that the cancer has spread further upwards, he wont go into a hospice, as he wants to stay at home with my mum, who is looking after him..

Please could someone shed anylight on this? does pain mean he hasnt got very long?- it's so so upsetting seeing him in pain now, and he has resorted to taking a pain killer. If anyone has gone through this, their replies would be most appreciated..Thanky ou.
