Hello, I'm a new user to this forum. I was diagnosed with Stage 4b
Hodgkin's on 12/05 and have had 8 treatments of ABVD. After 2 I
lost all my hair. Now I noticed my toenails ,which started hurting about
a month ago, are separating from the nail bed and my fingernails are
getting thick and brittle. Has anyone else experienced this? Or am I
being overdosed. Plus my fingers and toes are numb which I know is
nerve damage. I still have 4 treatments to go.

Hi Life. I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis.
I've read that brittle nails could be a side effect of chemo, although I don't think it's a common side effect. It would probably be best to check with your doctor to make sure. I've never had that as a side effect... only lower extremity aches, jaw pain.

My toe nails got thin and brittle and they were only a bit numb for a day or so. My major problem was numbing in my hands (nerve damage like you). I am seeing a neurologist, as well.

Be sure to tell your doctor about your nails. Any side effect even if you think it may be nothing, you need to let them know.
