My dad is in his final week of radiation, and is now experiencing a lot of pain when swallowing. It is obviously hard for him to eat as well. He is currently taking percoset. My question is, when will this pain go away? A week after treatment, a month? He is now starting to feel down and discouraged. Help please.

After my radiotheraphy it took me about 6-8 weeks berfore i could eat properly wothout pain. took about 10 weeks before i could have a beer.
It will go away but it just takes time to heal. Very Happy
