Hi. I've had two ultrasounds which revealed a small amount of fluid in the pevlic area. My ultrasounds (both trans-vaginal and lower pelvic) were otherwise normal, except that my ovaries couldn't be seen (I'm several years post-menopausal). The uterine lining looks normal. I'm having a D&C done next week in order to obtain an endometrial biopsy (cervix is closed). Of course, I'm worried! Does anyone have information regarding this subject??? Now I'm worried that any clue I would have had regarding spotting has been hidden by a closed cervix. Thank for any assistance!

Hi,
I cannot answer your question but can understand your concern. Its my understanding fluid in that area is not necessarily indicative of something being wrong, at least that's what my gynecologist told me. Please keep us posted as to how your test turns out, and hopefully someone else can shed some light on your questions here.

I had a D & C with biopsy, which came back clear. The fluid was due to a very stenotic cervix. Hope this helps someone else in the future.
