My father in law had a bladder tumor removed several months ago. He had some relief after but his symptoms are back. The biopsy came back negative. When he had the surgery he was given a three day supply of Cipro and sent home. The doctor hasn't come up with any good explanations as to why he is having this trouble again. His symptoms are blood in the urine and frequent painful urination. The doctor said there is no infection but they did find the blood in the urine. He wanted to do some experimental tests to check for TB in the bladder. (My father in law had TB in the past) Have you heard of this and what are your opinions?

Hello

Thanks for posting. TB in the bladder is very uncommon, but may happen, especially in someone who has had Tb in the past. Blood in the urine can be tricky to investigate, as there are many things that can cause it.

best regards,
Leo
