I just received a PAP back with LSIL present..does this mean that I have HPV? Does this make me a dirty person? Cause the way the internet makes it sound..you have to have multiple sex partners to have LSIL..

HPV is related to cervical cancer and most of precancerous diseases of cervix. but that does not mean all cervical cancer cases or precancerous lesions (include SILs) are caused by HPV.
in addition, no one can claim a patient as a dirty person because of a diagnosis of SIL or with HPV infection.
you should follow up with your gyn for further management, though.

Thanks for the reply. I am following up with the doctor..it's just that when I researched it on the internet..they said it's most likely cause from people having multiple sex partners, and I haven't. I just feel embarrased talking about it cause I don't want poeple to think i'm a slut or something.
