It's all coming together...and we are still trying to get all the pieces of information straight. It's just been such devistating news. I'm sure we'll find out more in the coming week. He was told he has a pancreatic tumor the size of a baseball..did they say 8-9 cm. It's in his liver and lymph nodes ((though can they tell it's in his lymph nodes without surgery...that's just what I read somewhere). I believe they said surgery was not an option at this point. He will meet with an oncologist next week...to discuss chemotherapy.
He has been having symptoms for months. Finally went into the dr. before xmas where they said he had a hernia and did surgery. Yet he never really got better after his surgery..but worse. He's loosing weight and is currently not digesting food...which does not sound good. He can't eat much without feeling bad. He vomits often. He says however he feels good and isn't dead yet so he's not going to lie around. He got up today and went to his workshop to work on a dresser he was making. I don't know if I'm looking for answers...if there seems there will be any hope for him..or do we prepare for the worst. My children adore their grandfather...he's only 62...my older two are devistated to hear grandpa is so sick Sad.
I know how horrible this cancer is...my exSIL passed away from it in DEC 05. ...just 4 mnths after diagnosis. Leaving my 11 yr old niece without a mother. I hate cancer...it has taken too many people from me.
