On Jan 23/07 I got the word that my distended abdomen and fatness indicated ovarian cancer, although no CT scan had been done, just ultrasound. Operation successful (so far Rolling Eyes )and I lost almost 30 lbs of "stuff" - which turned out to be something called a "mucinous(?) tumour", basically jello-like and liquidy. Now I have hips again!! Anyway, once I got the final biopsy results, it turned out to be cancer of the appendix, which creates these jelloey things, and looks like mine is low grade cancer.
Don't mean to be long-winded, but my question/comment: I had a full hysterectomy - everything out - plus the appendix- and although I've never "felt" anything towards my reproductive system (or used it) I feel empty and totally inert - can't seem to get past feeling like somehow I'm a "fraud".
