Has anyone out there had any success with going organic, eliminating all the known bad stuff, tons of supplements, juicing and these exotic tea potions to the point where it has killed off cancer cells or stopped the growth? we are stage IV melanoma and running out of options.

There are almost as many different answers to your question as there are people for and against! However, evidence is pointing towards a diet that is high in vegetables, fruits and pulses, low in red meats and dairy, as being a better diet.

Avoiding products that may be contaminated with pesticides, antibiotics and other additives is only sensible. Even better is knowing the place where your food was grown.

Supplementation - well, there is a great deal of discussion on this. There is evidence that cancer-sufferers are deficient in a number of minerals and that extra intake is desirable. This site is reasonably reliable: http://www.canceractive.com/page.php?n=845

There are a number of plant products being investigated for anti-tumour effects, but personally I would be questioning about the claims made for commercial products. Brainman will know more about this (see his post about his studies).

Desperation when conventional treatments seem no longer to be working is a major factor in people seeking a "cure" elsewhere. The best advice I can give is be cautious, but that if there is nothing actively against it, it may be worth a try.

Hi, My aunty is stage iv melanoma, she has recently started a diet under Dr Callabue who is based on Harley Street, London. Since beginning his strict regime diet she feels much better in herself and has more energy throughout the day. The diet consists of a number of suppleements, juices and certain organic food. Google his name into the website and also look up Ginny Fraiser, she went to him with stage iv and her results where remarkable. We will not know to what extent the diet has helped until my aunties next scan which is at the end Nov, fingers crossed it would have helped. Hope this has been of some help, good luck.
