My mother is at the point with her CLL that she cannot get anymore chemo unless her platelet counts come up on their own. The doctor said he is planning to remove her spleen to help these counts increase. Can anyone give me an idea of how this has worked in the past? It seems as if the options are getting to the end, but my family and my mom refuse to give up. We are getting desperate and would love some feed back.
