My son is 12 and is "infested" with dysplastic moles all over his head and body. The doctor says that he does not want to start cutting because it will leave him disfigured. By keeping these moles contained, what do we expect for the future? When I asked the doctor, he said right now we'll just check him every three months to see if there are any changes. Does this sound right?

JoeDiJoe, I only have two moles that have been on my body for as long as I can remember. I am now 53 years old. In that time, they have not changed. However, a check up for your son every 3 months does sound right since he has so many.

Best wishes.
