Could anyone feed me some information about the different types of leukemia and the different stages? I would like to become as knowledgable on the situation as possible.
A bit of background would be that my grandma on my moms side died of a form of luekemia in the early 90's. And then when i was a young child my dad got the same type but was saved because of advances in treatments. I dont even know what kind of luekemia it is. My mom said he was very lucky.
I want to know as much as possible, walls of text are good just like links.
Please i want to learn not from wikipedia but from actual people
thanks |

My husband died recently of APL which is an acute form. There are acute and cronic forms and the treatments are very different for each one. A good book to read is:
Adult Leukemia: A Comprehensive Guide for Patients and Families
(Paperback)
