Just a line to say that my brother would have been 62 today, had he lived.

Geoff was diagnosed in October, 2006. To his great surprise, he died 8 weeks later amidst a stack of "to do" lists compiled before he knew what was coming.

We were both students of literature and loved Emily Dickinson. It's appropriate that I offer the first stanza of her sonnet on dying as a tribute to this man I knew so well and miss so greatly:

"Because I could not stop for Death,
He kindly stopped for me;
The carriage held but just ourselves
And Immortality."

Happy Birthday to my only brother. We will meet again...but not yet.
