Hi there, I was never taught about cancer or what I should feel when self checking at school, so I just wanted to check something. I started self checking a while ago as my cousin got a sist on one of his testicles. On the top (end nearest my penis) of both my testicles there are soft and medium sized pouches/lumps, are these something to be worried about, or are they just part of the testicle. Please get back to me as I am very concerned about this.

rokingram, there is no way for anyone on the Internet to tell you what those "lumps" are. I would go see your GP for an examination.

Let us know what you find out.

Get to the doctor and have it looked at. I am 33 years old and was diagnosed with testicular cancer on may 9 2008. I had no lumps until about a week before i went to the doctor. By the time i was diagnosed it had spread to the point that i had a 4" mass in my left lung and a 4" as well as a 2" mass in my right lung. The doctor said that i probably had it for 3 years before i was diagonesed. After surgery and highly aggressive chemo i was pronounced in remission on august 27, 2008. There is not a day that goes by that i don't wonder if this is something that would have been picked up if i went to the doctor for regular check-ups. Let me know how you make out, and i wish you the very best.

I've been diagnosed with testicular cancer 2 months ago.

I has a small lump on my right testicle on the top right of it. Usually it should not give pain, but occasionally it gave some little pain to me, not anything really bothering. When i felt the lump the day after i have gone to my doctor and then:

doctor-->echography-->urologist-->surgeon-->oncologist

etc etc

Just follow this routine and go make it check with an echography. Then bring the echography to your medic and to an urologist. They will say to you all you need
