I found planetcancer..
But none of the forums have many people ?
I suppose a lot of people don't want to talk about it.

I had a full MUD BMT for ALL p+ last year (when I was 29).
10 months in hospital I almost broke their record !
I didn't leave until day 150 of my transplant..
But over a year later I'm doing pretty well and trying to rebuild
my life and my family... boy is that the hardest bit.

If anyone wants to talk feel free.

Dear Sir,

Thanks for posting. I am the webmaster here, and would love to try to help you. As you now realize the type of leukemia you had is very difficult to cure with chemotherapy alone. Since you are young and otherwise healthy (I presume), BMT was the right thing to do, and I am glad to know that you are doing well.

I assume such a prolonged hospitalization means also a long recovery period. I hope you make daily progresses.

Please let me know how we can try to help you. One thing is that we can stimulate other people to post here and form a great community.

best regards,
Leo

The thing I'm trying to get over is the physical and phsyhological damage that is done. I was a complete criple mentaly and physicaly for about 8 months post transplant , after another 8 months crawling back to normality I'm feeling pretty good.
The treatment here in the UK seems pretty good, I've heard other places (possibly Oz still call ALLp+ terminal)...
The hard thing about Leuchaemia and others is that sometimes your just not going to make it.. and thats a hard thing for a forum to help with.
And as for the age thing, thank god I was only 29, My hospital said they don't normaly do a full MUD transplant after 35... And now I know why....
The other problem is that everyone has a different type and its hard to find someone whos been through the things you have personally....
Anyway if someone reads this they can post....
