Hi all
I am very worried about a mark on my upper left arm
Ive only noticed it in the last week or so. I have made an appointment to see a skin cancer centre to have my whole body checked but they cant get me in for 3 weeks.
How long can a myeloma be left until its causes big problems as early detection is the key to a successfull outcome
I am always very paranoid about these things
thanks!

Hi, Simon,
Myeloma is bone cancer. Melanoma is a skin cancer.
Try not to be paranoid - worry is worse than reality! Let us know what the clinic tells you. |

Simon, I am very sorry about your health worries. Although it does not help to worry and sometimes can even hurt your health, it is normal for one to worry when something unusual or new happens to their body. I agree with Vee, you are doing the right thing by scheduling an appointment. None of us on this board can diagnose you over the Internet. However, we are here for you to offer you support and information.
Best wishes and hang in there. _________________ Jim

What does the mark look like? I'm going to assume it's irregular and suspicious, since you wouldn't be worried about it without reason.
As long as you get checked out relatively soon, though, I don't think you have anything to worry about. A 3 week delay may seem like a long time, but it's not really that long.
Hang in there. Best wishes. |

Simon,
I am very sorry about your health worries. Any news yet? It doesn't help your health to be paronioid- like Jim says, but if we weren't , half the people on here, wouldn't know they had something.
By seeing it and worrying- then you can treat it, look into options- either Medical treatment, herbal or other wise....
Good Luck and let us know what happens. _________________ Thinking of you Inica
