Hi there,
I have posted before, but there have been some new developments so I am posting again. Basically, I have had this swelling right where my left breast meets my underarm for about 2 years now. It doesn't hurt or anything, but it still worries me. I went to a doctor about it-he rushed me in and out in less than 5 minutes (no exaggeration) and told me it was just my imagination. This was a year ago. The swelling has gotten worse, and I am in the process of looking for a new doctor (plus, we're having some issues wit my insurance so it may take a minute to get to one).

Now the "new" development--I noticed about 3 or 4 months ago that I also have a weird swelling on my left hip. Again-there is no pain, but it is definitely swollen. I walk fine, sitting is no problem either.

So, does anyone have ANY ideas as to what this could be? Someone along the way mentioned breast cancer (in regards to the the swelling, sort of lump thing near my breast)...and yet someone else mentioned lymphoma...I just don't know if this is THAT serious, you know?

I appreciate ANY/ALL help-I've been trying to figure this out for a while now. Have a great day...

Hi Loki - there really isn't any way that you can be diagnosed on the net in this way. Lots of different things could be causing these swellings and without a proper diagnosis you will just be in a state of constant anxiety.

I really do recommend that you push for a proper examination with scan and, if necessary, biopsy to establish what's wrong.

Thank you-yes, I know that these boards are not meant to diagnose me or anything, I just thought I could get some opinions on what might be going on. But I appreciate your input and just as soon as my insurance situation gets ironed out I'll be going straight to another doctor.
