Does anyone have any knowledge about or experience with immunotherapy?
I am aware of two vaccines, GV1001 and MUC1, developed for pancreatic cancer treatment. Promising test results show these vaccines can effect an immune response against cancer cells already in the body. This is a very compelling approach to cancer treatment and one that doesn't get enough attention.
Given the poor prognoses of patients treated with traditional methods, it is questionable, if not futile, for scientists and doctors to attempt to cure pancreatic cancer by introducing toxic chemicals into the body in an effort to kill abnormal cells. It seems to me a more reasonable approach is to call upon the natural capabilities of the body's innate immune system to accomplish such a feat.
Is anyone interested in changing the direction of our quest for a cure for our loved ones? By utilizing this forum, we can work together to explore and research the area of immunotherapy and post any resources so all can benefit. Traveling the road less traveled gains new insight.
