I have had low platelets for many years and doctors didn't say a word until

I was diagnoses with Leukemia then they use it as an excuse to put me in

stage 4 so they can justify giving me Fludarbine. My red cells are perfect

and my white cells have stayed the same for a year. I have had no

infections, bleeding, or fevers. I do have many medical problems that make

it very dangerous for me to take Chemo. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have CLL Leukemia, I also have Diabetes and colitis so I am thinking I have more to loose from Chemo than to gain. My White cell count has stayed around 30 for a year which I contribute to eating a healthy diet.

Hello

Usually CLL is treated when you have low platelets. There are many different treatments they can give you, and some are not very toxic when compared to the chemotherapy regimens for other cancers.

regards,

My oncologist finally pushed me into taking Chlorambucil. I asked him if he had the same medical conditions I did if he would take it and he said "Probably Not". Well I shouldn't have let him push me into it as it made my kidneys hurt very bad. I also got a lot of sores in my mouth. Has anyone had similar results from CHEMO??
