Well - I went to my daughters graduation and left mom with our pastor who is also a friend and family. She made it. I was so proud of my daughter who has only gotten one B in high school and all the rest As. Truth be told, I was also anxiety ridden....rushed home to be with mom and she was still here........However,
At 9:58 this a.m. she went home to be with her Lord and Saviour that she loved sooo much.....
It was beautiful, peaceful and I was holding her hand the whole way....
Praying for her, thanking her and releasing her. I was surrounded by my best friend, son and daughter....
We kept her here till 2 pm and sang praise songs and prayed for her....
It has been a long day,
I love you all.....
Going to bed and will tell you the whole amazing story later.
I am O.k......and KNOW that my mom is having a HUGH party in heaven right now......
Thank you all so much for your encouragement and I will get back to you soon......
The fact is...we will ALL be in that place, healthy for now or not, and no one was better prepared than mom.....
I will be there still for you all and keep you in my prayers....
Just need a little time.....
Thanks again,
Caligirl

Calgirl, I am so sorry that your mother had died. I remember that the last time I wrote to you, you were torn between going to your daughter's graduation and staying with your mother for fear that she might die while you were alway. I am glad that you were so blessed to be at both of these significant life passages. I truly wish you well.

Take time to grieve. Even though your mother is now in heaven and in no more pain, you still have experienced a great loss. Even Jesus cried when Lazarus died even though he too knew that was not the end of Lazarus' life.

You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Dearest Cali,

I am so sorry for your loss.
I am so happy that you could be with your daughter at her graduation and with your mother as she went "home."
I rejoice with you in your knowing she is in the arms of Jesus.
Yet the loss is great for you and it will be a struggle...
my prayers and love will be with you as you walk through this journey..
oh it hurts, yet we can say God is good.
God bless you Cali and may you and your family feel the great love of the Lord around you.

Thank you all so much. I am trying to plan the "perfect" service for mom (Tues at 2pm). Of course, per her wishes, it will be a big party with lots of food. Going to lick out flowers in about an hour with my sis. My ex-step father is paying for them so the sky is the limit. We told everyone else to donate to Hospice so it will be lasting instead of temporary. We are expecting no less than 400 people up to a thousand. I am going to speak also as I feel it is my last chance to serve my mom. We found her ournals and they are AMAZING.
The following is the announcement email my sis sent out to our closest family and friends........

>>Hello family and friends,
>>
>>It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform you that
>>Charlene/Chucky/Mom/Ta went home to be with the Lord a little while ago.
>>It was a peaceful passing. While some of you may think that it is somewhat
>>of a "cliche" to say a person "has gone home" when someone has died, the
>>reality is that it is a real place with a real God and we know she is in a
>>place where there is no more pain, no more tears and no more suffering..
>>So, while we may be crying down here, she is totally rejoicing and
>>receiving her crowns in heaven.
>>
>>When Mom first got diagnosed with cancer we were talking and speculating
>>as to what God's purpose was in her having this disease. She said that if
>>her illness and death brought just ONE person to accept Christ as their
>>Lord and Savior, it was worth it. Her greatest desire was that ALL her
>>family and friends were saved.
>>
>>Let me quote you what her journal says for November 7th (she had been
>>diagnosed with lung cancer on October 31st)....."Lung cancer is the trial
>>du jour without sounding flippant. This is the trial that is not only
>>testing my faith and endurance, it's the trial that is going to show me
>>and others just how much I really love the Lord and may even more
>>importantly reveal how much I trust Him, not only with my life, but with
>>the lives of my family and friends. My question to myself is will I really
>>allow God to mold me into that vessel He can really use"?
>>
>>So, if her illness and death has you questioning life and death matters,
>>Chucky she wants you to know there is only ONE answer---Jesus!
>> We believe she did allow God to be that vessel and has taught us many
>> valuable lessons by example on how to live and die.
>>
>>Although this has been a rough road to travel (and will continue to be)
>>please also know that it has been a wonderful time as well. Relationships
>>have been renewed and strengthened, and people who have drifted out of our
>>lives have returned. Many good stories and times from the past have been
>>relived and of course, LOTS of food and festivities.
>>
>>We will inform you of the date and time for her memorial service once we
>>have it determined. It will be at Shadow Mountain Community Church on
>>Greenfield Drive in El Cajon.
>>
>>Thank you and may the Lord bless and comfort you as only He can.

Thinking of you, your mom and family.

I'll stop and say a prayer tomorrow, Tues, and 2.
