Hi all! I'm happy to say that I am currently in remission from Hodgkins Disease. It's been about 4 and a half years now Smile I was diagnosed at 14 years of age. I just have a question that is really concerning me and I really hope someone could give me advice.
I have felt pretty good overall these last few years and have slowly rebuilt some strength, stamina, immunity, etc. However just a couple weeks ago I had decided to lift a pair of 15 pound dumbbells I've had lying around for years. Each day I would grab them and lift continuosly until I reached my limit (approx. 10-15 lifts).
Well, now I am truly regretting it. It was a bonehead move on my part considering radiation therapy to my chest, but...now I have some very minor, dull chest pains. It really feels more like strain than pain, if that makes any sense. It feels fatigued and somewhat sore. I've also noticed a slight difficulty of breathing.
Does anyone think I should take action and go to my doctor? Or do you think it sounds like something that would pass? Maybe I just need to relax and let it heal?? I don't know!!!

If anyone could help me out, please let me know your suggestions. I'm quite worried about this, as are my parents. Thank you all in advance!!!

I am glad to hear your story. "Survivor" is a good name for you Very Happy.

The first thing that comes to my mind when to talk about your chest pain is that you pulled a muscle. However, you should at least call your on doctors office and see if you should go in for a thorough examination.

I wish you the best and hope that is something simple like a pulled muscle.
