I first had an abnormal pap in February 2006 after a miscarriage. I was told I had LSIL after a colp/biop. I went back for my 4 month pap and I was normal--was to come back in 6 months. I got pregnant around that time and had an abnormal again. Had only a colp and was HPV. Was told not to worry--it flared up because I was pregnant and it would more than likely clear up after the baby was born. She was born in September. I had another abnormal pap in January and they gave me two options 1)recheck in 4 months 2) Cryosurgery. I had no choice but to go with the first, I was in between insurances at the time. I went back this last monday and was told I have the strain of HPV that causes Cervical Cancer. I'm waiting my pap results.. Which I know will come back abnormal.. SO really I'm waiting for my next colp/biop..
Limbo sucks.. I'll tell ya that.
My biggest question is...
I have light pink discharge after sex and last night it was actually blood. VERY little amounts. Sex wasn't pleasant. I wasn't screaming in agony but it hurt. I had cramps afterward and for most of the night. (I don't remember this occuring the first time I bled after sex..)
I've had alot of really thick odd colored discharge and minor cramping lately. The cramps come and go.
What do you gals think? I know it sounds like it, from all the things I've read, but I'm hoping it's just my mind getting the best of me..
Thanks,
Kassandra |

go to the doctor now! Don't delay - if your doctor does pap, maybe he/she could refer you right away for colposcopy also to do biopsy instead of waiting for pap results which can tke a while, don't delay. I ignored those same symptoms for a couple of months and i have cervical cancer, when i found out it was Feb 8th and about stage 1, I STILL haven't had any treatment and await radiation to start around June 2nd-i haven't found out what stage i am at now, but it is beyond being able to have a hysterectomy - get to the doctor now!

Kassandra, I totally agree with Sherry; you should go to a doctor as soon as possible. I do not know what the bleeding means but whatever is causing it should be identified ASAP.

Kassandra,
Please get this checked out. Have the Pap, get some punch biopsys. and go from there, You'll have more of an idea excatly what is going on. What is causeing the abnormal smears and why. Then have it treated. It's not worth waiting. Please- just lost a friend because of waiting. _________________ Thinking of you Inica
