I'm 17 year old male, & for the past year or so I've noticed 3 moles growing from tiny freckles. Two of them have become only slightly raised but with faded edges & abnormal shapes. The third is small (about 2mm x 2mm) but very raised & began stinging now and again a few months back, & has steadily got worse & more frequent. I visited a doctor a month ago who told me to book an appointment with another doc qualified to perform minor surgeries. I went to the appointment a week later only to find the receptionist had written down the wrong date & day of the appointment. I rang the docs the next day & they told me they'd ring me back when they were having a day for minor surgeries. This was about 2 weeks ago, I've rang twice since then & still recieved no reply.

The mole is on my waist just above my hip, & the whole area around the mole burns for most of the day, especially the evenings. Small brown dots are appearing underneath my skin from the mole, & about an inch underneath there are some raised white bumps emerging with red around them, though I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it.

Another mole which I've had all my life has been flaking & beginning to change colour & develop an irregular shape for over a year, but for the past few weeks it's started hurting as well.

What is there left to do for me to get these moles removed & tested so I can be diagnosed & start treatment before anything has the chance to get worse & spread? I've given up with the GP, obviously i'll continue ringing them if they don't get back to me but I can't wait any longer Mad

GKJB, I am so sorry that you are having problems getting the moles removed. You might what to go to a dermatologist (or to a different dermatologist). Keep us informed.
