I gotta say, being the age that I am... I dont feel like I should be doing this.

A lot of the times I am in so much emotional anguish and physical pain, I just wanna take too many demorals and call it quits. Cancer has taken my life since it restricts me physically so badly.

Now now, before you say "try to make the best of it" and "stay positive" and "make lemonade outta lemons..." Its all easier said than done.

What makes ya wanna get through cancer? When, you dont know when and where the pain will end.... and cancer is something you deal with for the rest of your life (even in remission)?

Hi

You gotta be able to laugh now and again but that doesn't mean you have to be positive all the time. Confidence in the doctors and treatment is helpful as is someone close to you who can help.
Don't put up with pain not even for one second. Don't worry about addiction it is very rare in people who suffer real pain. Nothing gets you down like unremitting severe pain.
There is always hope, keep some hope in your heart. I know your situation is dire but you are young and young people respond better to chemotherapy.
I did a lot of research into my cancer I think having knowledge helps, it certainly helps in framing good questions for your doctors.
If you feel real bad from the chemo I found that a multivitamin and mineral capsule worked wonders for keeping a lid on most of the side effects, but ask your doctor first.
You have been in my thoughts a lot these past few days. I hope things start picking up soon. Good luck and keep posting if you can.

I don't know. I my case it was easy. No pain you see. I do however know what real pain is and it can definitely affect your will to live. Thats why you have to manage it , otherwise it manages you.

Thinking of you

chingling, I honestly do not know what gets me out of bed every day or what inner strength I have that has made me live so long. I certainly do not feel like living at times (bipolar).

I am not a cheerleader Smile but you are not alone. While I do not live with pain, I do live with the danger of having a seizure and with the damage caused by or as a result of my cancer. I can tell you that it does get easier with time. The single most important thing I do every day is to participate in this forum. Trust me, I receive more than I give Smile.

chingling, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Well, I am a cheerleader- a ugly fat one at that- (you know the ones with the short skirt riding up, where it shouldn't. The top too short and the belly rools are out for all to see) yep- told ya UGGGLY. Wink

I too have times I'm very very "down" And dark times. But My family keep me going. Manage the Pain as much as you can and you'll feel like you can manage a little more.

Take each day and try to keep that chin up. (feel free to smack me one) Kisses.

A good laugh , even at yourself- does wonders too.
Iam thinking of you- and ALWAYS know, we are here.
