moms liver resection delayed

Its unbelievable what this poor women is going through-and shes trying (were all trying )to stay positive. its soo hard Crying or Very sad

I feel guilty me and my husband are as (as of till now) were getting soo excited and happy that things were looking more positive for her and we are suppose to pick up our new puppy on thursday. But mom just called 10 minutes ago and was almost in tears-said her surgery for the liver resection has to be put off untill she sees a heart specialist. her stress test resulted in a blockage of some sort that has to be dealt with first-(now Im really scared of the outcome of all of this) Shocked

she is really adamant about not telling the family right now . I have to avoid them untill she gives the ok. But I can tell you- feels a little relieving right there even if I were to get no responses. Im tuning out fast and I have to get a grip. Have any of you had to have your surgery delayed for anything like this Question

whats really scarey is this gives the cancer a chance to grow more. How much more can she take?

Find out what the doctors steps are as far as her heart but tell them to keep her scheduled for the resection. They can always cancel it later. I believe you said it was in September. Thats weeks away. No reason for canceling now. Call her doctors for her and ask. Also I am just wandering have they done a pet/CAT scan to check to for any sign that the cancer may have already spread? I wish her well.

Idobelieveinfairys- yes pet/cat only a couple of weeks ago which did determine the surgery then the stress test which lead us to this" bump in the road." (is what moms oncologist called it) my mom replied to YOU its a bump to me its MOUNTAIN. she holds no comments or feelings back anymote. I think thats a good release. They already banded her for surgery 9th . and are trying to work a cardiologist in before that- so far all is still on schedualed time.
the only thing that will change that is depending on what the cardiologist says. thanx for replying.

The surgery is on -the cardiologist said the Ekg wasnt bad enough to do anything and its typical for her age 73.
He does want a dopler the day before the surgery tho- just in case . Hopefully it wont show anything more. WHEW!
Still schedualed for the 9th sept. wont know anything eles untill then.
