Someone very dear to me was diagnosed with cancer of the abdomen lining. Is that mesothelioma? The term has not been used by the doctor so I am a little confused because all of my research points to meso.

Mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer. malignant cells are found in the sac lining of the chest or the abdomen .

The majority of people with mesothelioma have a history of jobs that exposed them to asbestos, an insulation material.
