I am not sure if I am aloud to post this sort of thing as it is not directly cancer related, but being ill can make you appreciate things that you took for granted before.

It has been a beautiful day today here in the UK there has been wall to wall sunshine all day, most of the UK had a carp summer but it seems to be here today.

I walked the dog across the fields this lunch time, and it was really warm on my back. The winter wheat was already poking it's nose above the recently tilled land, life goes on and there is new life everywhere, and to me I feel it brings new hope.

For that brief moment everything seemed OK, the air was clear and fresh, life is good.

This illness is such a funny animal, I know people liken it to a roller coaster ride this it to a tee, yesterday I felt like IT had got a hold of me today I feel I could live forever.

Tomorrow is another day, who knows what it may bring, I hope more sunshine to everone here.

Paul, it was a beautiful day here too. I love this time of the year when we can turn off the air conditioner and just breath the fresh, crisp morning air. It does wonders for the soul and the body. Enjoying nature is my favorite way to cope so this is a very appropriate topic related directly to coping with our cancers.

Thank you, Brainman.

This morning I woke again to sunshine so decided it was time for a trip to the seaside, it was an hours drive each way but well worth it. We hadn't been for about a year or so.

And the air was so different to the city, so clear. Do others find the sea air makes them feel better? If we had the money we may well consider moving closer to the seaside.

I must admit I don't worry so much about sitting in the Sun these days, yes too much sun can cause problems with skin they say, but I personally think sunshine can help, it certainly makes me feel better.

I am trying to loose a bit of weight, I walk every day about half an hour and have cut down fatty foods, but still need to loose weight. Is it a good idea to try to loose weight if you are ill, or just eat well, ie lots of fruit and veg,
