Hi,

My husband is having RF ablation for recurrent colon cancer in the liver. Has anyone else had this treatment? How did it go?

WOW Lucinda, it has been a long time!! I am so sorry that your husband's cancer has spread to his liver. I have never had RFA but I hear that is has a good success rate.

You and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi sorry to hear of the spread but mom just came out of liver resection surgery and 2 places he ablated. said that it is a sure elimination of the cancer in that area. not to say it cant be developing anywhere eles but if thats all thats present that will do the job on the ones they attack. hope it goes well for you guys too. hasnt been long enough for us to know any more yet.

Hi,
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. We have been going down this road since 2005. Hopefully, we sail over this speed bump and continue living the good life. We have been blessed over the past three years.

We are having a PET scan next week to see if there is anything hiding. We will have the RFA a week from Tuesday if the PET scan is negative for other tumors.
