Hi my name is Shannon, im 22 years old and pregnant with my second child. ive had a swollen gland in the right side of my neck for 3 months now and my occipital glands (in the back of my neck) near my hair line swell up and down aswell. ive had blood work done and the doc said i had real low iron. Then i was tested for hiv which was negative..so i dont know whats going on. theres no apparent infection but my glands are constantly swollen. my doc was gonna send me for a CT of my head and neck but his office never called me back with an appointment, perhaps because we just found out im pregnant. im not sure. i also have had these little white dots that appear from beneath the skin all over my legs once im standing. i dont know what those are from...please write back about what u think..ive had these symptoms before i got pregnant im only 11 weeks. Thanks alot

Hi Shannon,
I think you need to get on the phone with your doctor as soon as possible. Tell them you are concerned and then ask them to try and help get you tested as quickly as possible. You might also want to contact your OB/GYN and ask him/her if they could recommend a dcotor that has had some experience in dealing with situations like yours.
The key though is get your doctors to do the tests you need, I have been through the waiting and not knowing, and that is much worse then anything (at least for me). Once I knew I had cancer, then I could focus on getting well, not knowing was almost like being paralyzed. So please either get your doctor to help, or find another doctor.

Good Luck,
Brian
