My dad has made lung x-ray and there is visible approximately 5cm big shape in one lung, doctor said that is possible tumor and send dad to later diaganostics, surgen also said that it looks like tumor.
later diaganosis will be next week.
But I have question, is it posiible that this shape is caused by something other, not cancer? and if it is cancer - in what stage it can be? (5 cm in diameter)?
Can`t this tumor be benign tumour? is it posiible and how ofen benign tumour is diaganosed in lungs?
Can anybody suggest good clinic or maybe trial for lung cancer patients? |

We did not know what we were dealing with untill after a biopsy was done to indentify what the mass was in my husbands lung. Until you have an answer, it is an unknown- something that can be frightening, like a boogey man under your bed. Once the tests are run, and the condition has a definative name, then the plans should be made to move forward, and those are headed by the professional. I have heard of tumors or masses that turned out to be many things.... once tests were completed to find the answer. Find youself a good oncology group/ professionals- you should be being referred to someone- if not, insist! Keep us posted, good luck, and prayers to you. _________________ Kathy: loving Ben, who at 51:4/08, seizure: dx. Hello
I think Gillette has said it all for now..
This is the waiting game..
Its a hard time having to wait for results, but until cancer is confirmed we should try not take it for granted that your dad has this..
I shall keep you in prayer for good news and we are all here for you..
Try your level best to keep positive and let us know when you have the results of the biopsy..

Hi,
We're here for you during this process of diagnosis and understand how it plays with your mind and emotions.
It is a cruel journey to find out what the problem is, but a biopsy is the only conclusive way.
Please let us help you if you need to ask questions or just vent.
Hugs,
